FOR MOST STATES
Filers can view the Filing History for all their filings from the date they started their account.
- NOTE: If you have been using the older Legacy version of our website, all your Filing History from that version of our website will appear on this version of the site. Any unfinished drafts you started at the Legacy site, however, will not appear on this version.
The easiest way to access the Filing History is to check the Filing History box on your Dashboard. The status of each filing is shown at the bottom of each submission.
First, visit filenow.me, then select your state followed by clicking e-File and Serve. Login to the site afterward.
To view the full Filing History, click the phrase View Filing History at the bottom of the Filing History box.
For another way to access the Filing History, click on the 3 horizontal lines at the top left the screen. Click on My Filings. In the drop down menu, select Filing History.
To sort between envelopes and drafts, click on the Filing History or Filing Drafts options on the left-hand side of the screen. Filing History will show you submitted envelopes and Filing Drafts will show you drafted filings that have yet to be submitted to the court.
Clicking on Filter at the top right of the Filing History or Filing Drafts page will bring up different options to sort the Filing History and Filing Drafts.
Choose the appropriate options to search through your Filing History or Filing Drafts, then click Apply Filter.
You can search for cases by Court Location, Filing Status, Case or Envelope Number, or by specific date ranges.
Results will generate on the screen. The Actions icons directly to the right of each draft or envelope number will allow you to interact with that corresponding draft or envelope. The basic details for each filing will be shown below the Case / Envelope numbers: Filing Status, Filing Code, Filing Type, Filing Description, and Client Reference Number.
The Filing Status will show you the current status of your filings. Statuses include Draft (the filing is incomplete and has not been submitted yet), Submitted (the filing has been sent to the court), Accepted (the court has accepted the submission as a valid filing and has added it to the case record), Rejected (the court clerks have returned the filing for correction), and Cancelled (the user has cancelled the filing), among others.
You may view the different filing statuses and what they mean via the article below.
Click Actions to see what actions can be taken within the draft.
To view the details and/or print a receipt of a filing, select Envelope details.
To file into a case with a template that you/your firm created, select File Into Case With Template.
To view the service contacts associated with a case, select View Service Contacts.
To bookmark a case, for quicker ways of accessing in the future, select Bookmark case.
If the envelope was rejected, cancelled, or submission failed, select Copy Envelope to correct and resubmit.
If the filing is still a Draft, select Resume Draft to continue from where you last left off.
Note: When clicking Actions on a particular Draft/Envelope, options not available are grayed out.
If your filing was rejected by the court, this will allow you to view the court's rejection comments. These comments should illustrate what was wrong with the filing and advise you on how to correct it. For more information, please view the articles below.
NOTE: The Filing History is essentially the list of actions for your efiling account. Aside from the Filing History, the eFile & Serve website has no other list of actions for your efiling account.
