This redaction service allows filers to automatically identify and mask sensitive information within uploaded documents prior to submitting them to the Court.
- Troubleshooting Tip: The Mozilla Firefox browser can cause known glitches to occur in the Redaction tool. Please use Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Apple Safari, or Brave Browser instead.
Special Note About Redaction Configuration:
The Auto Redact service can be found in the Filings tab.

When the filer clicks auto-redact, it will load for a few seconds. They will get a green message indicating that it is auto-redacting, and they can continue to fill out their filing. Once it is completed, another message will pop up indicating that is has completed. It will also show how many items were redacted.

NOTE: If you receive a "Redaction failed" error message, remove the file, perform a Print-To-PDF operation on the file to resolve the error, then re-upload the file and attempt redaction again.
For more information on the Print-To-PDF method, please refer to the following help article:
If the document does not load after clicking Edit Redactions, you may need to turn your browser's pop-up blocker off.
If they need to edit any of the redactions, or review what has been redacted, they can click on Edit Redactions.

This will open up a new tab into a Content Manager window. Click the three-line edit button (see below) until it turns purple to begin redaction.

Any fields highlighted will be redacted when the filing is submitted. If information is not highlighted and needs to be redacted, you can click on the Redact Area icon. Your mouse will then become a + icon, and allow you to click and drag over the sensitive information.

Anything highlighted in red will be redacted. If the information is repeated, you can redact all instances of this using the sidebar on the right.

To delete anything that does not need to be redacted, click on the red box for a trash icon to appear.

When you are done selecting information to be redacted, click on the floppy disc icon (Save) in the top right of this page to save your changes and exit.

Please Note: Redaction is not available in all court locations!
Please Note: The version of the document you originally uploaded prior to redaction is the version that will appear in the Summary tab of your filing.
NOTE: Redaction does not carry over when copying an envelope. If you must copy a rejected or cancelled envelope to refile it, you must redact the document again!
