In most cases, the court systems may transfer cases from one court to another court. When searching for a case in its originating county or court location, that case will no longer appears in case searches. If you try to file into it, you may encounter error messages.
In other cases, however, you may wish to initiate the transfer of a case from one court to another. In order to transfer a case from one court to a different court, obtain whatever case documents the originating court and the destination court requires you to use for this process, then continue filing into the case at the new court per their instructions.
NOTE: Cases that transfer from one court to another may receive new case numbers.
